Each + Every originally began as a letterpress, screen-printing, and design company in 2011. As the print shop grew in scale over the course of a few years, it transformed into a full-service design and brand studio.
One of our goals from the start was to remain a small, tight-knit studio that produced the highest quality work we could. While we provide a range of services, we always have and always will be focused on providing a rich, collaborative experience with our clients.
We believe that good design is informed, creates change, clarifies meaning, and inspires people. To that end, we build close relationships with our clients by listening intently to meet practical design opportunities and provide value.

Listening is how we begin each project. Whether it’s a small project or a long-term partnership, we are invested in learning as much as possible about your mission and vision from the onset of our work. We seek to understand what your needs are, where problems lie, and how we can help. Our team is intentionally small so that whoever is working with you can dive deeply into your project. Curiosity is at the core of this step.
Every project is different, so we tailor our process to meet your needs. Along with listening to our clients at the start of every collaboration, we believe that research is a key practice in arriving at the best design solutions. Each design phase includes various rounds of concept design where your insight helps shape what happens next; this could include storyboarding a user journey, mapping out pop-up exhibit locations, reviewing logo concepts, or having feedback sessions on the website we’re creating.
In the end, the design we create is only as good as its ability to serve the real people who will use it—whether it’s signage, a website, or a brand. Our hope is to always consider the long-term value of every design so that it might impact our social and cultural communities in the best way possible.
Chances are that you’ll get to know some or all of these people quite well when you work with us. Our distinct perspectives and individual skills are the basis of a rich collaborative experience. For each of us, design is a means of service, stewardship, and care for our culture.
Nate provides guidance for how our studio moves forward. He founded the company that is now Each + Every in 2011, just prior to completing an MFA in design at Kent State. In addition to professional practice, he develops young designers as a professor at alma mater Grove City College. Off the clock, Nate keeps an impressive garden with his wife, Amy, and assists in his three children’s lego architecture enterprise.
Ryan has an analytical point of view that served him well in completing an MFA in design at Kent State. His knowledge of past and contemporary theory keeps the studio sharp, current, and filled with new ways of tackling old problems. If Ryan and his wife, Bethany, stumbled across a time machine, they would journey back to shake the hands of America’s founding fathers.
Alex provides a finely-tuned formal eye for our studio. His MFA in design from Kent State serves him well as he directs our design team on client projects. When he’s not designing, you can find Alex hiking the Cuyahoga Valley National Park with Katey, or continuing his hunt for the perfect taco.
Gabe rises head and shoulders above his peers both as an exemplary designer and a towering human being. His ability to quickly identify and execute a smart concept was cultivated while earning his BFA in design from Kent State. Gabe wields an undaunted optimism to creatively engage every project, and his contagious enthusiasm is quick to build rapport with clients. Among his friends, he is known for his intuitive utilization of gifs. When he’s out of the office, Gabe can be found at his Crossfit gym or at home with his wife Ashley where they maintain their status as the tallest couple next door.
Cait has a keen eye for the details of life and is inspired to use design to help solve problems in broken cities. Her ability to incorporate illustration, lettering, and photography into her design work was developed while earning her BA + MFA in design from Kent State. In her spare time, Cait searches for the world’s best donut, indulges in pop culture, and explores cities with her husband Anthony.
Nate’s technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and keen eye for design allow our team’s ideas to come to life. After a friend introduced him to web design while in high school, Nate continued building his knowledge and experience to become the full-stack web developer he is today. Outside of the office, Nate (AKA Hobi) enjoys finding creative ways of sitting around, like watching sitcoms, dabbling in Ableton Live, hammocking with his wife Alissa, or finding cool restaurants.
Katey’s detail-oriented personality and desire to make the world a better place motivate her in every project she’s involved in here at Each + Every. She holds a BFA in design and minor in psychology from Kent State. Besides design, Katey’s interests include the great indoors and every animal she passes on the street.
Leah brings an enthusiastic spirit, love of learning, and a zeal for the exclamation “YEET!” to the team as E+E’s 2019 summer intern. A rising senior at Grove City College, Leah spent the last three years building her design skills while also providing key leadership in launching the campus’s AIGA chapter. Leah recently traveled to France with her classmates which grew her appreciation for both history and chocolate croissants. When Leah isn’t busy being a student, she also enjoys painting, drawing, photography, reading classic novels, and making steaming cups of green tea (but not drinking La Croix, let the record show.)
